Bay Store of Book City
Shenzhen Bay Store of Book City is located in the central area of Bao'an. It is the first book city facing the sea. The design language is filled with the breath of the ocean. The undulating roof is like waves caused by the wind blowing over the ocean, and the scattered sunken courtyards are like the whirlpool of the sea. The rigorous combination of the linear structure of the entire building presents a simple and atmospheric style. The internal structure of the bookstore forms a coherent and unified public space, which fully interprets the activity and exchange area of safety, integrity and experience. The lower courtyard is linked with functional circulation, creating a convenient and safe transportation mode. Through the green axis of the city, readers can watch the open green landscape, feel the joy of nature, and the ingenious fusion of design and nature. Shenzhen Bay Store of Book City is equipped with multi-functional facilities, in addition to book lending, it also includes public facilities in different formats, culture, catering, and entertainment. It provides a service center integrating culture and leisure for citizens. It is not only an important node of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Golden Economic Corridor, but also the core area of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area that has attracted global attention. Every step of development carries people's imagination of the future life of the Greater Bay Area with high quality and high standards. It is located in the central green axis of the central area of Bao’an. The forward-looking upper-level planning defines this green axis that runs through the north and south as a connection between the city and the city. The public green corridors along the coastline will form an open and atmospheric overall image, and at the same time carry an open, shared, green and vibrant urban life.
