Urban Plan Exhibition Center

The project base is located on the edge of the mountain park. If in accordance with the conventional practice, in order to leave the square building, it will inevitably retreat. This requires digging the mountain and building a retaining wall more than ten meters high. This will occupy and destroy the park space for citizens to walk. At the same time, a passive huge building and a useless square were created. The plan places the building on the road so as to preserve the mountain as much as possible. The volume of buildings along the street is raised to form a shaded public space of near-human scale instead of the empty front plaza. This is not only an outdoor temporary exhibition hall but also a walkway for citizens to walk around, so that urban planning exhibitions can be closer to the citizens. The most notable feature of the design is the design of the building roof as an undulating man-made hill, which integrates the building with the natural mountain. Not only does the preservation of the mountain become the landscape feature of the project, but it actually expands the area of the mountain park. The purpose of the plan is to provide citizens with a larger and more interesting open park while constructing public buildings. The landscape roof is supported by a number of trumpet-shaped structures. The trumpet shape not only conforms to the ups and downs of the hills, but also forms a better force-bearing form, so that the building has a 33-meter span and a 15-meter cantilever space. The horn is also a device that introduces sunlight and collects rainwater, and the interior is used as a stairwell equipment room.

The building of the planning exhibition hall itself is also the declaration of the city builders. This building melted in the landscape allows people to see the possibility of harmonious integration between the future city, the architecture and the natural environment, as well as the lives of citizens.
