Fengxian District, Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine

The Fengxian campus project of Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine is located in the core area of Fengxian New City, Shanghai. The construction of the Fengxian campus will solve the problem of difficult medical treatment for the residents of Fengxian New City, and also contribute to the expansion and sinking of the city's high-quality medical resources. The design adopts the planning method of internal and external zoning to open part of the medical functions to the block, so as to effectively separate the healthy people and the patients; use the skeleton transportation system composed of multi-directional horizontal and vertical transportation to complete the city, the medical area, and the medical area. The inpatient department, the medical area and the scientific research academic area, the medical area and the second phase are efficiently connected; the modular design concept is used to help the hospital flexibly face the changes brought about by future development; at the same time, the internal and external medical procedures of the hospital are also adopted. In the way of partitioning, the front and back connections are set inside the medical technology module to meet the effective separation of outpatients and inpatients.

The facade of the project is in a modern style. First of all, the shape has been cross-sectioned under the principle of satisfying the medical function, which is very easy to understand the functional attributes of the building. In the design of the ward building, an asymmetric method is also tried to create the unique landmark of the project; Secondly, consider choosing the combination of white perforated aluminum alloy and ETFE film in terms of materials to create the hospital's pure, elegant, and advanced feeling; again, on both sides of the medical main axis, between modules and modules, consider setting up an atrium space. Bringing sunlight and air to the public space makes the building more healing.
