Third Children's Hospital
The Shenzhen Third Children's Hospital project is located in Wulian Community, Longcheng Street, Longgang District, Shenzhen. The total construction area of the project is about 103,000 square meters. The planned bed space is 500 beds. Health care, rehabilitation, scientific research, and teaching are integrated, highlighting the characteristics of serving children.
We put forward three design concepts:
First, the scope of precision medical services emphasizes that children are the main body. Compared with adults, children need more care and understanding, and a relaxed environment for medical treatment is created through design language.
The second is to blur the boundaries of medical buildings and break the barriers between the building and the natural environment, allowing the two to penetrate and merge with each other to create a 'garden-like' healing environment.
Third, blurring the boundaries of medical functions can be incorporated into medical-related commercial services to create a vigorous and energetic healing and working atmosphere.
Under the premise of a compact site and high building density, the largest number of wards can have access to the park view, while at the same time ensuring the appropriate building scale, giving patients and surrounding residents a cordial and pleasant architectural image from an urban perspective. Through the modularized medical treatment, the interval setting of treatment units, the ingenious design of the nursing unit, and the introduction of the landscape medical axis, a large number of pleasant sunny courtyards are formed inside the building, so that patients and doctors can happily treat in a bright and friendly environment. At work, patients, family members and medical staff can feel relieved to experience a quiet healing space here.
