Beijing
Poly · Sunrise Town
Beijing Poly Sunrise Town is located in Jiugong Town, Daxing District, Beijing, close to the South Fifth Ring and Nanhaizi Park. The project is a community center built for Poly Group, and it needs to be used as a sales center in the early stage. The plan uses a continuous wall across the site, with a winding trend, staggered left and right, as if folded. The linear and zigzag wall not only shapes the garden, but also serves as the supporting structure itself, creating a coherent, column-free interior space. The corridor space that runs through the north and the south is connected with three scattered courtyard spaces in one go, and the three courtyards are constantly shifted from side to side. Therefore, the building is also called 'folding garden'. The straight central axis space is in sharp contrast with the folded architectural trend. It is hoped that in the 'folding garden', pure geometric form-finding is used to construct a place with extremely natural tension.
